Unveiling of DigiHER Initiative at Ventures Park
The DigiHER Initiative was officially unveiled in a memorable event hosted at Ventures Park, with the program graced by distinguished guests and partners. The event was facilitated by Mrs. Tracy Okoro, CEO of Ventures Park, who highlighted the significance of innovation hubs in driving transformative programs like DigiHER.
A keynote speech was delivered by Mr. Peter Burba, representing the U.S. Embassy in Abuja. In his address, he emphasized the critical role of digital literacy in fostering education and economic empowerment for rural women, commending the initiative’s alignment with global efforts to reduce poverty and promote gender equality.

The DigiHER Initiative stands as a beacon of hope for rural Nigerian women, empowering them with tools and opportunities to break the cycle of poverty and thrive in the digital age. The program encompasses three key stages:
- Digital and Financial Literacy Training: Equipping women with essential skills in technology, finance, and personal safety, ensuring they are prepared to navigate both the digital landscape and real-world challenges.
- Project Funding: Providing smartphones and funding to support and scale their entrepreneurial endeavors, enabling sustainable income generation.
- Grant Accessibility: Facilitating access to grants to upscale their businesses, enhancing economic opportunities within their communities.
In addition to economic empowerment, the DigiHER community prioritizes safety and security. Participants have direct access to security agencies, ensuring protection against any threats to their personal and communal well-being.
The unveiling event celebrated the DigitHER Initiative’s commitment to fostering a generation of empowered women who will lead their communities into a brighter, more inclusive future
